I'm delighted to introduce a new silk scarf from my latest collection: 'Teal lustre'.
This is based on a macro photograph of a piece of costume jewellery, which caught my eye in close-up. Macro photography introduces new worlds in absolute miniature, and the opportunities are endless. The more you look, the more you see.
This design took many hours to perfect, as I worked to select the right pattern that would work on a scarf, balancing the colours to give flashes of colour when worn. We teamed this silk scarf with our model's own felt hat and boots and neutral wool jacket for a wonderful country look, and the breeze worked its magic too. What I love about single georgette is that you get the colour and the translucency, not forgetting the movement and drape.
For any silk scarves purchased in March, I've decided to make a donation to the Disasters Emergency Fund of 10% off the scarf price, to try and help those in real need.
